I get it now... it took a lot of time researching and studying this topic from the top down, but just 1 interview to see it from a completely different perspective (i.e. bottom to top). I've been arguing why biological males don't belong in the female category, but 1/
only focusing on MtF transgender athletes. The answer as to why they shouldn't be allowed in the female category has been right in front of me all along, and I didn't see it until yesterday. The answer is in the other sex based category (male) and in FtM transgender athletes. 2/
Follow me here... A major piece of evidence used to justify the MfF transgender athlete's eligibility in the female category has been, endogenous T is not correlated with better/increased performance. Exogenous T; however, is correlated with better/increased performance. 3/
MtF transgender athletes have to follow the IOC guidelines, and reduce their in serum (endogenous) T levels to < 10nmol/L in order to remain eligible to compete in the female category. Nothing new here, but guess what... FtM transgender athlete's are eligible for a Therapeutic 4/
Use Exemption (TUE) to receive exogenous T in order to increase their performance and "catch-up" to the other biological males. If endogenous T does not equal better/increased performance, but exogenous T does, why are FtM transgender athletes given a TUE to take it? 5/
Shouldn't the FtM transgender athlete's in serum (endogenous) T be sufficient to compete fairly and on a level playing field with other biological males? I mean, that is what is being purported as a major piece of evidence in the MtF transgender athlete's argument? 6/
But, it's not true in the FtM transgender athlete's case; otherwise, they wouldn't be given a TUE to receive exogenous T, which is correlated to better/increased performance. There's all the proof we need to debunk this entire debate! In reality, biological females 7/
who wish to transition to the male category, and are eligible to receive a TUE for exogenous T - PROVE the performance advantages biological males have over biological females in sport. Thank you Dr. McKinnon for pointing this out in yesterday's interview! 👏 End
What's fair and true for one side, has to be fair and true for the other side, but it's not. I also see why there's a push to abolish all testing for T. Yeah, right... That will never happen! Athlete's would be doping up, down, and all around - the records would be meaningless.
