Conspiracy to obstruct justice is a course of conduct: i.e, false statements to USG, perjury before Congress/GJ, abusing power to stop an investigation, firing people involved for corrupt purpose, public deceit to false undermine purpose of the investigation and people involved.
The date on which a Trump et al conspiracy to obstruct justice wd have begun is debatable. Prosecutors charge conspiracies "From *on or before* X date to Y date." They would choose the earliest inarguable date by which defs knew/could reasonably foresee a GJ/cong investigation.
Trying to influence witnesses thru various forms of witness tampering - public shaming, public cheering of those who don't testify against you, offering pardons as bribes, pardoning someone for a corrupt purpose - could all be acts that further a conspiracy to obstruct justice.
