The dept for exiting EU (DExEU) estimate that an #nodeal Brexit will cost the UK £158bn per year. That’s £3bn per WEEK. Dwarfs the “£350m per week” we were supposed to save.

🤩Getting worse deals with Japan and the USA due to our weakened bargaining power! Hooray!
🥰 And we are projected to lose another £13bn per year on "the administrative burden on businesses from customs declarations alone".

Let that one sink in for a moment. Same as the net amount we spend on EU contributions. On administration ALONE.

My prediction: if we proceed to a #NoDealBrexit this year, Scotland will have a second #IndependenceReferendum within 6 months, which will succeed. Northern Ireland will have a #BorderPoll within a further 5 years.

I don't want it, but I feel at this point it's inevitable.
It appears that the UK government want to hasten this outcome. Maybe my timeline was too long.

Hmm. Senior Cabinet ministers now thinking the same thing.

Yes, I knew about my own area (medicine), and everyone talks about trade. But in fact there are regulations that govern aviation… not to mention our huge reliance in the fight against crime.

I started to work in the UK (for @fusionenergy) on the 14/04/2014 as Senior Electrical Designer, I am now an Electrical systems design engineer.
A "#HighSkilled migrant" as they say, but not eligible to the #SettledStatus. [THREAD]
2. I will have my 5 eligible years on the 14/04/2019.
Or 16 days after #BrexitDay.
Maybe it is worth to mention that I arrived on the 01/12/2013. So I have actually my 5 years, but I have no proof.
I was joining an ex-partner to look for work in the UK, my name was not on bills.
3. Yesterday, like other fellow @The3Million, I read the following article.
"Employers will be expected to check whether EU nationals have the right to work in the UK if there is a #NoDeal #Brexit, even though it will be almost impossible to assess this".

2/ The NHS, long before Brexit, from your govt & your mate Jeremy, is in poor shape.
- We don’t have enough staff (100,000 short total, 40,000 nurses, 10,000 doctors)
- we don’t have enough funding (~£26b)
- Demand continues to rise by 4% every year

Ford Transit moved 2Turkey 2013 with EU grant.
Jaguar Land Rover recently agreed 2 build a new plant in Slovakia with EU grant, owned by Tata, same company who trashed our steel industry & emptied workers pension funds.

Peugeot closed its Ryton (was Rootes Group) plant and moved production to Slovakia with EU grant.
British Army's new Ajax fighting vehicles to be built in SPAIN using SWEDISH steel at the request of the EU to support jobs in Spain with EU grant, rather than Wales.

Dyson gone 2 Malaysia, with EU loan. Crown Closures, Bournemouth (Was METAL BOX), gone 2Poland with EU grant,employed 1,200.
M&S manufacturing gone 2far east with EU loan.

1) Thread - All Brexits are bad and what we voted for
It's often said by brexiters that "it's not all about economics"
However, the *actual* Leave campaign was almost wholly about economic arguments

With the leak of this 2-8% report those arguments are now trashed
2) We seem to have forgotten this however economics played a huge part in the Vote Leave campaign, making up over 2/3rds of the primary arguements. The clear message was we would at the least be no worse off and at best much better off. 4 of the 6 below state this clearly
3) & the fact is voters believed we would be no worse off. People prioritized immigration certainly, but against a backdrop of there being no consequences from Brexit - few are prepared to actually pay for ending FoM
