Apparently some people don't know the history, but around 800,000 were expelled from Arab countries and had all their property seized over a few decades.

That started with those Arab countries relegating Jews to being second class citizens due to accusations of dual loyalty.
For example: In 1929, Egypt banned Jews from being citizens because of such accusations. By 1947, they restricted most jobs only to citizens.

That antisemitic trope has now become a dominant view in the Arab world that justifies endless antisemitism.
That remains true in many of those countries to this day. However, it is not true in America. We aren't supposed to tolerate such things.

What Omar and others who think like her have been doing is simply trying to normalize that view here.
That's why this is such a big deal to many of us. We have seen this play out before from people in power. We know where this road leads.

Ignorance is a bad excuse at this point. Those who care about fighting bigotry and preserving human dignity in America must loudly speak out.
