@DonJefe68 @threadreaderapp The tax loopholes are tricky to resolve - many wealthy individuals and corporations rely on the tax breaks as a benefit and a reason to have domicile in the US. The positive result is they buy things in the US - which are taxed - and they provide US jobs. The negative is ... 5/
@DonJefe68 @threadreaderapp 6/ is that the treasury loses income tax revenue. I would argue that the positive outweighs the negative in this case. Also, if corporations are forced to pay higher wages (often the greatest corporate expense) they may choose to do business elsewhere.
