Current topic: trying to find product-market fit when people say they love your app but then refuse to use it. 🤔🤔🤔
Recurring theme: Have a specific idea in mind of who your ideal customer is and is not, so you can build the right thing. If you don't know, talk to people every day.
Lots of founders are into freemium, giving something away for free, then trying to upsell customers. I'm a fan of the opposite. Whenever possible, build a company where you can charge everyone. @ahrefs, for example, even has a paid trial! 👌
If you're an indie hacker, you gotta get paid. Let other people give their products away for free.

What are some things you should *NOT* do as an indie hacker?
I was recently on @ProductHunt Radio (producthunt.com/radio) where @Abadesi asked me this question about all sorts of challenges that founders face.

Here are a few of my thoughts…
@ProductHunt @Abadesi Don't blindly follow advice without considering the context in which the advice was given (from who, to who, when, for what) and adapting it to fit your personal situation.

E.g. advice that works for a high-growth VC-funded startup might be disastrous to your indie business.

It used to be rare that I'd meet someone in real life who I'd first met online. Nowadays it's an almost weekly occurrence for me.

There are roughly 60 #indiehackers meetups/month, and there will eventually be hundreds.

I can go to practically any city in the world and make friends with total strangers who share my interests and are excited to talk about their startups for hours.
For example, I recently met @terijyu, an indie hacker working on @vibelywithme. She's trying to create a world where these kinds of casual online-to-offline meetups are even more commonplace.

Feedback, feedback. Everybody says they love getting feedback, love giving feedback, never enough feedback feedback feedback. So tired of hearing about "feedback" without any additional context or guidance. On its own it's just a nonsense word, like "disrupt". or "impact".
If "feedback" doesn't cause you discomfort on the regular, you're just using it as a weasel word, a placeholder for whatever the hell you want. Or you aren't even trying.
Feedback should mean something. We should work hard at it. We should get better at it.

Feedback is like unit tests for human systems, and integration tests for human organizational systems. You don't build quality systems without quality feedback loops.

The Airtel/K2 transaction is neither a merger nor acquisition. It's a brand endorsement arrangement, were K2 entered into agreement allowing @Airtel_Ug to use her Trademark, Brand name (K2 Telecom) & Resources to market @K2Telecom products & services to customers @UCC_Official
Under the Brand Endorsement Agreement, K2 customers will continue enjoying the same or similar services with a different code prefix (0708). The customer migration will be voluntary. Customers will exercise their contractual right to either move to Airtel or not.
