Dear Alyssa Milano,

Do you ask marginalized people what they need or just assume empathy is the answer?

You shouldn’t have to empathize with a person to know they deserve rights & privileges.

Using these “I” statements is centering you. That’s the worst kind of ally/advocate
This is my problem with any campaign centered on “Love is Love” or any type of emotion.

Why is my humanity or existence based on if you love me, or of I live differently or any emotion you as a person in power need to have to see me?

I deserve because im human.
Most marginalized people aren’t looking for acceptance.

Hell most don’t even want to be around the majority.

We just want what we deserve because we exist. Because we deserve equity and equality despite how you feel.

Work on the things in your control, pray about the things that aren’t, have faith in what you want to do & WORK ON IT DAILY.
Failure isn’t the end.
It’s what you use to achieve success.

It is what teaches you what things in the plan need to be adjusted.

It is what stops you from making future mistakes. Success occurs when you keep going.
Faith isn’t knowing WHEN the parachute will open, its knowing THAT the parachute will open.

But one thing is for certain. The parachute will NEVER open if you never take the jump.

At some point you have to jump.

Tariq Nasheed doesn’t want liberation, he wants the power to oppress like a white man

You can’t be pro-Black and attack Black women regularly

You can’t be pro-Black and patriarchal

You can’t be pro-Black & anti-queer

His hatred of some Black folks is a tool of white supremacy
Black women and Black queer people square up daily against anti-Blackness.

He feels that any checking of cishet Black men is anti-Black which is dangerous and part of that “protect the image” at all cost logic.

Naw. Especially when our lives are on the line.
We can fight white supremacy AND make it known that Black women are dying at the hands of Black men

That Black queer people aren’t being supported, acknowledged and affirmed enough by Black cishets

That’s how this works. If you ain’t worried about trans deaths, you ain’t for us
