Of all the people to support the DNC refusing to have a debate on Fox News, Harwood has to be the most hilarious.
Here's the piece we ran before the CNBC debate (which had no conservative media partner), detailing Harwood's long history of particularly defending Hillary Clinton. thefederalist.com/2015/10/27/cnb…
And then, just as @MZHemingway predicted, it was the biggest trainwreck of a debate in the cycle, including moments like these: Surprise! John Harwood Lied About Marco Rubio's Tax Plan thefederalist.com/2015/10/28/sur…
"Harwood’s first question to Donald Trump was whether Trump felt like a comic book villain. Becky Quick asked Carly Fiorina why she was so bad at her job. Carl Quintanilla asked Marco Rubio why he hadn’t resigned from the Senate already."

Hours after the debate, Harwood was still insisting his factually wrong tax policy question (remember, he works for CNBC) was correct... even though he had previously admitted his error in a tweet.

Here are John Harwood's 7 Worst Debate Moments.

FWIW, as a token disagreement, John Kasich thought the moderators were "Fine."

But it was such a clown show, Harwood's CNBC performance made Reince pull their scheduled NBC debate.

In the end, Harwood and his team were by far the worst of the 2016 cycle. "We’re not mad at moderators for being tough – we’re mad at them for being dumb. There’s a difference."
