Oh and by the way: if we’re going to have a general election, and the government wants to distract people from the massive humiliation of holding European elections when it pledged it wouldn’t, 23 May might be a day to keep free in your diary, so help us God #justsaying
Alternatively the Tories might find it too toxic to hold election on that date, as it would remind people of the unique and epochal cock-up they’ve perpetrated against themselves and us, in which case we’ll probably have vote to coincide with local elections on 2nd May. Fun!
