And those massive deficits would be used to justify demands for further cuts - to food stamps, Head Start, education, environmental protection & anything that helps poor and working people — while they keep cutting rich folks’ taxes, deficits be damned. That’s “starve the beast.”
You can call it “deconstructing the administrative state” like Bannon did or “drain the swamp” a la Reagan and Trump but it comes down to the same thing, and here I’ll quote @sarahkendzior - “stripping the nation for parts” so the rich pay near 0 tax & the poor are on their own.
