Twitter seems to be looking for ways to lose its natural monopoly
So many obvious problems

One obvious one is that it makes it MUCH harder for smaller accounts to break through

If the only metric available is follower count, well, guess what: big accounts dominate
It also makes it harder to LEARN Twitter

Harder to understand what messages resonate, what don’t.

Also harder to know when the replies don’t accurately reflect sentiment
It’s a lot easier for most people to ignore nasty replies when they are overwhelmed by positive RTs/likes

But if nasty replies are all there is...
