Amazon, Microsoft, Google/Alphabet are all trying to get Oil companies to use their cloud and use compute/ML to extract oil more efficiently.

It's unethical and wrong.

Not only do cloud providers want the oil industries money but the carbon emissions from electricity running data centres are at least equivalent to aviation

As an industry, tech needs to recognise it's power and walk out for #climatechange

Maybe tech needs a #climatestrike too!

Maybe we're being shown exactly what to do by children.
