Jeremy Corbyn had "constructive" Brexit talks with opposition leaders including Cable & Blackford today, his spokesperson says

Corbyn called on the leaders to work towards a "close economic relationship" with the EU in the absence of a HoC majority for a referendum
Corbyn is to meet MPs from the "Common Market 2.0" group at 4pm, I'm told
Corbyn had “positive and detailed” talks with Common Market 2.0 MPs.

Key line: “They discussed how to build greater support on areas of agreement between Labour's alternative plan and Common Market 2.0 and find possible areas of compromise.”

Project soft Brexit well underway.
Consider these talks between Labour and Norway-style Brexit MPs in light of Barnier’s remarks today about re-writing the Political Declaration, and a path to HoC majority might finally start to emerge... albeit tearing the Tory party in 2 and infuriating lots of Labour MPs.
The Common Market 2.0 group is working with a team of legal experts - “the best EU and EFTA lawyers in the land “ - to put together an alternative Political Declaration, I’m told. Should be published soon.
