This move by Trump along with moving the US embassy to Jerusalem pretty much tells us where the Kushner Peace Plan is going. It will likely recognise all of Israel’s ‘facts on the ground’ across most of the disputed regions.
The weakness of the Palestinian Authority will be exploited & when it refuses to accept what’s on offer the administration will throw its hands in the air, blame Palestinian intransigence and begin to formally recognise Israel’s claims on parts of the occupied West Bank
The old ‘Axis of Resistance’ made of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah along with Hamas has been severely weakened by the war in Syria and US sanctions. The Gulf nations (aside from Qatar) have lost all interest in the Palestinian cause and see everything now through the prism of Iran.
There is almost an unseemly haste from Saudi Arabia and Israel to refashion the region as they want it while they have what has proved to be the most pliable US administration in modern history where the Middle East is concerned.
It's never going to be as good as this again for both Israel & Saudi and they will want to get everything they can from Trump before he goes for re-election just incase he doesn’t win.

A new US administration when one comes will find it impossible to unpick it all.
The Saudis and Israel are stitching up the shape of the Middle East for decades to come and its being facilitated by a White House that could charitably be called naive but possibly just doesn’t care enough about the the long term implications for the people of the region
