Of all the contemptible reporting on Trump-Russia, this should win a prize. But not a Pulitzer. Several officials ILLEGALLY LEAK details about a FISA warrant on a still-uncharged campaign volunteer to sabotage Trump. This puts Page’s life in danger 1/ washingtonpost.com/world/national…
Disclosing details of a FISA is a felony punishable up to ten years in jail. Comey confirmed this in 2017 testimony. And WashPo didn’t publish it for national security reasons. They published it purely for political reasons and helped destroy a man’s reputation in the process 2/
They owe Page an apology. Yes you @DevlinBarrett @adamentous and @nakashimae Not an award. They deserve condemnation for what they did.

So let’s deconstruct one of the Pulitzer-winning articles in the NYT by @nytmike shall we? Based on one “memo” written by Jim Comey, the NYT claims, without evidence, that Trump told Comey to “shut down the federal investigation” into Flynn 1/ nytimes.com/2017/05/16/us/…
First, that’s not even what Comey’s own diary said. Comey claims Trump said “let this go,” about Flynn. No mention of an investigation. But this doesn’t stop the NYT from claiming Trump attempted to influence the probe into Trump officials and Russia. But that is 100% false 2/
Trump did not KNOW his campaign was under investigation. Comey never told him. In fact, the first time Comey confirmed that the FBI had been investigating the campaign was in March 2017. The alleged convo btw Comey and Trump was in February 2017. Further, if Trump said it 3/

It’s not just that NeverTrump collusion peddlers are uninformed or ignorant or reflexive or condescending or insulting that bothers me the most.

It’s that they’re lazy. This is the biggest corruption scandal in US political history and they haven’t even broken a sweat.
What original research did anyone at Weekly Standard or French/Goldberg at NRO dig up? What insightful commentary did they offer? How much time did they spend reading transcripts or watching congressional hearings? Zero. Lazy, entitled and smug. Can’t find a worse combo.
Meanwhile, they insulted and argued with people who actually were doing the hard work. That’s why they deserve our unrelenting criticism.
