So disappointed in #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed, @rabiasquared and @disarmingfilms taking viewers for a ride.

You misrepresented findings of your own investigators & left out key evidence.

I urge anyone thinking this was a miscarriage of justice to read into the case...

First, the cherry picking of Hae's journal entries was exploitive.

In multiple journal entries Hae discusses Adnan being jealous & possessive, you even took words from specific entires & omitted her frets about his controlling nature.
Your word salad left out entire sentences.

Some of the biggest red flags after the misrepresentation / further victimization of Hae, #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed never mentions:

I'll try to do Cliff's Notes for everyone interested on what @rabiasquared & @disarmingfilms left out.

The doc jumps all over the place but I'll do my best to keep it chronological.

Hae first tries to break up with Adnan on November 1st. 1998. By most accounts Adnan does not take it well.

The following day, on Nov 2nd, Adnan shows up in the classroom where Hae interns for 1st period.

Hae hides & calls the teacher from another classroom:

This is part of the motivation behind the break up letter Hae writes Adnan.

#TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed reads bits, but skips over the most troubling info.

@rabiasquared & @disarmingfilms also neglect to share whats written on the back & why its known as the "Going to Kill Letter"

The front was written by Hae & given to Adnan before last period.

Blue pen on the bottom margin & on back is Adnan, pencil is Aisha, written back & forth during health. It was recovered in Adnan's room after arrest.

Aisha did not remember seeing "I'm going to kill" that day.

December 20th - 21st, Hae breaks up with Adnan for 2nd & final time.

Adnan's friend Ja'uan says Adnan is much more upset this time because Hae is leaving him for another guy. Says his face was red & eyes were watery & he got worse after reading the final breakup note from Hae.

Adnan keeps photo of him & Hae on his binder & gives Hae a card & a framed copy of the same picture of them together for Christmas.

Hae is involved in a minor crash also around this time. Adnan gives her rides & visits her at Lenscrafters around this event.

During this time Hae & Don are not dating.

12/31 Adnan meets Nisha at a NYE party. They exchange phone numbers.

Nisha has her own phone line in her room, but she can't call Adnan because of LD charges. Adnan can only call her.

01/01/99 Hae & Don begin dating.

Adnan is absent 2 days the following school week.

1/11/99 - Adnan buys cell phone

1/12- Adnan's cell phone is activated

Adnan calls Nisha, Jay & others.

11:25pm - 3am Hae is on the phone with Don

Adnan calls Hae at 11:27pm, 12:01am & 12:27am. Hae tells Adnan shes on the other line, the last call she writes down his cell #

After Hae hangs up with Don she writes her last entry in her diary:

1/13/99 Hae's disappearance

1st period Kristi witnesses Adnan ask Hae for a ride, he tells Hae his car is in the shop, Hae agrees.

Becky (friend of Hae & Adnon, unmentioned in #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed) recalls hearing at lunch that Adnan is getting a ride from Hae after school

Adnan is not at lunch, both he & Jay agree Adnan leaves school & picks up Jay at his house.

Approx 1:15pm Jay drops Adnan off at school, leaving in Adnan's car with his cell phone.

Adnan visits guidance counselor & requests a college app reccomendation letter.

1:27pm Adnan shows up to Psych class 37min late.

2:15pm bell rings / school is out

2:36pm Incoming call to Adnan's cell (towers show phone at / near Jen's house)

3:15pm Incoming call to Adnan's cell (towers show phone in Best Buy area)

3:21pm call to Jen's house (same area)

3:30pm Kindergarten teacher calls Hae's uncle, first sign Hae is missing.

3:32pm phone call from Adnan cell to Nisha "The Nisha Call" (tower shows phone still in near Best Buy area). Nisha remembers speaking to both Adnan and Jay. Will come back to this later.

Approx 3:35 - 3:40pm, Hae's brother begins search for Hae. Calls Aisha, who also begins calling around for Hae.

3:48pm Adnan's cell calls Jay's associate Phil, tower shows zone of High School & near I-70 park & ride

3:59pm Adnan's cell calls Jay's associate Patrick, same zone

Approx 4pm Adnan at school for track practice

Adnan engages track coach in deep discussion about Ramadan & his religion. The coach remarks its the mist Adnan has ever spoken to him.

4:12pm Adnan's cell calls Jen's house, tower shows area of Jay's Grandmother's home

4:27pm Adnan cell, incoming call, tower shows phone near Jays house

4:58pm Adnan cell, incoming call, tower shows phone near Jays house

5 - 5:30 pm, Jay picks Adnan up from track practice

5:12pm Hae's brother calls police

5:38pm Adnan cell calls Krista. Tower shows zone covering park & ride anf close to Jen's house

6:00 cops check in with Lenscrafters. Hae did not show up. Ofc Adcock starts calling Hae's friends.

6:07pm Hae's brother calls Adnan's cell thinking its Don. Tower info shows Kristi's

Once the phone calls to Adnan asking about Hae start, Kristi recalls Adnan seeming distraught & panicked. Claims she saw him debating if he should answer his phone & heard him say, "They're going to keep calling me." "What am to going to say?"

6:09pm incoming call on Adnan's cell. Aisha calls Adnan, says Hae is missing & infirms him she, "told police to check with you." Call is only 53 seconds long. Tower info & witnesses agree he is still at Kristi's house.

6:24pm Incoming call, Adnan's cell. Ofc Adcock calls & asks Adnan about Hae & where she took him that afternoon. Adnan says Hae was supposed to give him a ride but he got held up in school and she must have gotten tired of waiting for him & left.

6:30pm Adnan & Jay leave Kristi's house abruptly after Adcock's call.

6:59pm Adnan cell call to his friend Yaser. Tower info shows phone is back in range of school and Park & Ride lot.

7:00pm Adnan cell call to Jay's friend Jen's pager. Phone pinging same zone.

7:09pm Adnan cell, incoming call. Jen says she is responding to Jay's page. Jen says Adnan answers, is short and says Jay will call her back when he's ready and ends call. 32 seconds. Tower shows phone in Leakin Park area, where Hae's body was buried.

7:16 Adnan cell, incoming call. This call is also short at 32 seconds. Jay recalls Adnan answering and it being someone Adnan knew. Could also be Jen's call back.

Tower data shows phone is still in Leakin Park area where Hae's body was buried & later found.

8:04pm Adnan cell, outgoing call to Jen's pager. 32 seconds. Cell tower info shows phone in area where Hae's car was later located.

8:05 Adnan cell, 2nd outgoing call to Jen's pager. 13 seconds. Cell tower info shows phone is moving East in direction of Westview Mall.

Approx 8:45pm Jen meets Jay & Adnan in Westview Mall parkinglot to pick up Jay.

9:01pm Adnan's cell calls Nisha. Tower location shows phone is in area of Adnan's home.

9:03 & 9:10pm Adnan's cell calls Krista. The call is dropped & Adnan calls her back...

Adnan and Krista talk for aprox 15 mins between the 2 calls. Krista states she asks Adnan if Hae gave him the ride after school and asks him if he knows where Hae is. Adnan tells her he is in his car.

10:01 Adnan cell calls Nisha. Shows Adnan still in home zone.

10:02pm Adnan cell calls Yaser. Tower shows call coming frm zone south of Adnan's home

10:29 Adnan cell calls Saad. Tower shows ph back in Adnan's home zone

Adnan stayed in constant contact with Hae, even when she didn't want him to, even continuing to call in the middle of the night up to her disappearance.

After Hae disappears Adnan never attempts to contact Hae by phone or page again, unlike her friends who believe her missing.

In #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed @rabiasquared & @disarmingfilms make the point over & over that the cops did not look at Hae's boyfriend Don-

But the fact is in less than 24 hrs after Hae disappears not 1 but 2 cops interview Don, Ofc Adcock & Ofc SJ Waters...

Between the two interviews, county sheriff searches area around Don's home overnight for any sign of Hae or her car.

Hes also interviewed twice by Detective O'Shea, and interviews are conducted with both Lenscrafters locations confirming his alibi & turning up no suspicious info

Additionally, top investigation firm QRI stated to Wallstreet Journal after doing a deep dive they verified Don's alibi & dispelled all conspiracy theories like altered timecards & phantom shifts.

So why did @rabiasquared & @disarmingfilms keep this in #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed?

Showing a brainstorming session between QRI & producers of #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed based mostly on theories & speculation but never presenting the follow up facts and findings that resulted from their investigation is lying by omission...

& the documentary does that a lot.

By February 4th Don had been interviewed at least 5 times. None if his statements were inconsistent. No one has pointed a finger at Don except Adnan in his first interview with Ofc Adcock.

Adnan had been interviewed 3 times by 2/4. Each one contradicts his previous interviews.

Adnan told Adcock 1/13 he was supposed to get ride with Hae that day but she left w/o him.

Adnan tells O'Shea over phone he didnt see Hae after school because he had track practice.

O'Shea calls back 2/01, presses Adnan about ride, Adnan says has his own car & Adcock is wrong.

After Adnan's 2nd conversation w/ O'Shea (as well as supplemental interviews of friends & faculty), O'Shea pulls Adnan's DL file & he becomes suspect in Hae's disappearance, 2/03.

This is before Jay spoke to police, before anon tips, & after Don was interviewed twice as much.

Let's talk about the anon caller who told police to focus on Adnan.

#TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed would have you believe this was a single baseless call, that the police used it as an excuse to focus on Adnan, & they also imply this individual may be Hae's younger brother.

Not so...

The anonymous caller reached out to police after Hae's body was found, & Adnan was already a suspect.

The caller made 2 seperate calls to homicide (not crimestoppers) using *67. Both times Detective Massey tried to *57 to get the #, both times he received an out if area message.

In 2nd call, caller says police should contact Adnan's friend, Yaser. The caller gives Yaser's school & ph #. Caller says Adnan told Yaser in 98 if he hurt his girlfriend he would ditch her car in a lake.

Adnan frequently called Yaser, including on the day of Hae's disappearance

In his police interview Yaser Ali does not say he thinks Adnan killed Hae, or that he has any first hand info on the crime.

...but he does curiously say that if Adnan had killed Hae, Adnan would ditch her car in Centennial Lake, seemingly corroborating the anonymous caller.

If the caller's identity is important, Vu Tran is a better fit than Hae's brother, Young Lee.

Vu Tran is a friend Hae made when she attended highschool in California.

When Vu found out Hae was missing he began investigating online, posting & emailing about her disappearance.

9:38, 01/20 Adnan's friend Irman leaves school between exams & goes to the house of acquaintance.

He emails Vu to tell him Hae was murdered 2 weeks ago at school and he should stop wasting his time online trying to find Hae because she is with God.

Hae had not yet been found.

Vu responds by emailing over 20 of of Hae's friends & acquaintances, including Adnan & some of his crew, fwding Irman's email, and asking if it was true.

Vu also Fwds Irman's email to police.

On Feb 12th, 2 days after Hae's body was recovered, the anonymous calls come in.

Young Lee is someone who speaks with police frequently (filing the missing person's report, delivering info) & often acts as translator between them & his family. It stands to reason they might recognize his voice. Additionally Hae's brother isn't out of area for *57

Vu Tran is someone who also communicates with police, but seemingly only over email. Vu is in touch with both Hae & Adnan's friends online to gather info, & living in California he is too far "out of area" for call trace.

So why doesn't #TheCaseAgainstAdnanSyed mention Vu?

1) Bringing up Vu puts it out there that one of Adnan's closest friends snuck out of school to tell Hae's friend to stop looking, she's already dead, 20 days before she was found.

2) Draws further attention to how far chronologically the anon call's presentation is out of place

Another reason the police focused on Adnan was information gained from interviews with school staff and friends.

The incident at the prom on 10/30/98 was a big deal.

To recap- At mosque Adnan's family attends, Imam gave a sermon about dating, indirectly about Adnan and Hae.

The Imam's wife tells Adnan's mother the sermon was about her son.

Adnan's parents show up at the prom. They find Adnan & take him outside & confront him. After a time Adnan goes back inside, finds Hae, and brings her outside where she is now confronted by his parents.

The confrontation continued to escalate and Adnans parents became increasingly upset to the point the principal felt a need to intervene.

She stepped in, removed Hae from the charged situation & sent her back inside the dance. Adnan's parents were instructed not to speak to Hae.

This was a very dramatic incident, and I bring it up here because it put the couple & the volitile secretive nature of their relationship on the radar of students and faculty in a major way just 2 1/2 months before Hae's disappearance.
