@AshKSkeet 1/ I've been pushing #PubertyWithPeers for decades now, against slowly decreasing opposition. Doctors like Spack & Gooren hated being asked to justify denying puberty until 16. Those at UCLH just hide behind the therapists at GIDS tho.

@AshKSkeet 5/…estrogen, not agonists. And if estrogen is started before male puberty starts (as 9yo Josie in 📽️ really wanted, "to be like the other girls", but was denied by Olson in 2012) then agonists are never needed, avoiding many issues, & costs.
@AshKSkeet 6/ The barrier (other than conservatism, not believing kids' gender identity is inborn, & hoping to change it) is purely the belief (encouraged by the faked "desistance" studies) that any trans child's gender may suddenly switch at Tanner2, so all must suffer that, "just in case"

@AshKSkeet 10/…me, after listening to GIRES present on the WPATH SOC at a trans health conference, "Isn't it cruel to force a young girl to start male puberty, knowing that it is only because her doctors hope it will change her gender identity, when it never would?"
@AshKSkeet 11/ Remember, it isn't just a handful have had #PubertyWithPeers; literally 1000s in 🇹🇭, etc. have benefitted from it📽️. And Prof Gooren, author of 100s of papers, has been living in 🇹🇭 for years now, ignoring it.
