I’m tired of hearing about Joe Biden. Period.
It was one thing for the MSM to give hours upon hours of free air time to Trump in 2015-2016 but now they’re spending inordinate amounts of time covering the endless baggage of a dude who ISN’T EVEN A DECLARED CANDIDATE all so they won’t “have to” cover any of the women who are.
This has everything to do w/the patriarchy’s refusal to accept leadership from women and POC and the pervasive delusion that all America needs is a White male savior, therefore all Democrats need is a futile quest to commandeer White votes from the GOP by nominating a White guy.
The truth is Biden only made the cut for VP in 08 because Obama needed a disarming White guy by his side to assure the White electorate that he was “safe”. His baggage didn’t matter then because he wasn’t atop the ticket & folk who don’t realize this now are in dangerous denial.
The MSM’s still intent on making every election an exercise in wooing the White electorate, the only metric they’re abiding by is how comfortable each candidate will make White “moderates” and the WWC feel, the rest of us be damned. They’ve learned nothing but how to double down.
The B boys (Biden, Bernie, Beto and Buttigieg) are getting the most air time because we live in a society that dictates that White men must be seen and heard first and often. They’re literally benefiting from the same privilege and patriarchy the D base is seeking to dismantle.
I know that doesn’t fit the narrative that these men are the safest, shrewdest picks possible but at some point we’re gonna have to come to grips with the reality that conventional political wisdom only renders them safe and worthy of attention because they’re White men.
We didn’t all learn the same lessons from Election 2016 and it’s painfully obvious that the MSM’s takeaway was and still is that Democrats’ only hope for victory is pandering to White supremacy until it no longer feels threatened by women, POC and sweeping demographic change.
Newsflash: White supremacy will never not feel threatened. Sending weak tea White guy candidates on an apology tour to kiss the WWC’s ass isn’t a solution to what ails this country or a viable strategy for winning the *Democratic* primary. Change doesn’t look/sound like the past.
Until these fuckers show me the math on how the B boys are gonna win back White votes from the GOP (something that hasn’t been accomplished in 50+ yrs) and do so while forcefully denouncing the White male supremacy they’re benefiting from I don’t wanna hear shit else abt “safe”.
Until these fuckers show me the math on how the B boys plan to overcome racist voter suppression targeted at the lifeblood of the Democratic base I don’t wanna hear shit else about how they’re pining away for Whiter pastures on the other side of the aisle for expediency’s sake.
If the “best” idea you have as a Democratic candidate for POTUS is painting the bigots who created this predictable disaster as sympathetic figures and your sole political conquest, you aren’t earning my vote and I don’t feel bad about it. This shit is weak and doomed as fuck. 😒
Also the WWC doesn’t even want any of the B boys, they’ve already proven they want a full throated White supremacist and Trump already has that market cornered. Either you care about providing representation for everyone else or you’re just here to waste time, money and energy.
