For perspective: Immigration courts are already a grotesque sham of due process. The "judges" are DOJ employees who can be fired or overruled by AG at will, and defendants are given no right to a speedy trial or a lawyer.

Even this is apparently too much due process for Trump.
Many of these immigration cases are effectively death penalty cases. A judge is deciding whether to send these people back to a place where gangs and cartels will murder them.

The mere fact that executive appointees, not Article III judges, are deciding these cases is appalling.
But no, according to Trump, the problem is that we shouldn't even be *pretending* to bring these cases before a judge. Presumably, he thinks ICE should just seize these people and stuff them on a plane to wherever and that's it.

This is how tinpot dictators talk.
