Summary: in 2014, a British academic (me) was invited along with 20 others by Sir Richard Dearlove (former head of MI6 and Master of a Cambridge College) to meet @GenFlynn, who was on an official visit, to a dinner in his honour (4)
At the end of the dinner I was asked by Prof Christopher Andrew to share my finding from a public Russian archive with the dinner guests. No-one was interested in the picture (a classic nude) but the interest lies in the fact that it was sent by young Joseph Stalin in 1912 (5)
Richard Dearlove, who was sitting next to me, passed the document which was on my iPad to Gen Flynn across the table. There followed a group discussion about the document lasting about 15 mins. That's it. (6)
