May’s appeal for a short Brexit delay rejected by the EU but the EU27 is considering an extension until at least the end of the year, with the most probable end date being the end of March 2020. theguardian.com/politics/2019/…
2/. However if the WA is agreed “by a sustainable majority” by the 12th April the EU would grant a short extension to 22nd May.

Interesting to see “sustainable majority” that suggesting that a tiny majority might be insufficient for the EU to be confident it could be stable.
3/. He takes aim (unsurprisingly) at the ridiculous Malthouse Compromise “there is no such thing as a ‘managed or negotiated no-deal’ and there is no such thing as a ‘no-deal transition’.

NB @NickyMorgan01 stop wasting precious time.
4/. He too (as did Barnier) made it clear that if we left with no Deal the very issues rejected before (the Bill, the border, citizens rights jurisdiction etc) would be waiting to be settled before any FTA discussions would take place in the future.
