Officials & diplomats preparing this week's EUCO will look at two draft options: short extension to 22 May if deal approved this week, if not, the UK faces a long 9 or 12 month extension
EU/27 are also looking at ways to enhance sincere cooperation with strict conditions given the UK’s status as a departing member state, including how the EU can terminate a "flextension" early
EU27 leaders are also expected to confirm that in the event of no-deal, EU would not enter talks with the UK without agreement on Irish border, citizen rights, & financial settlement
The content of the draft seen by @BuzzFeedNews will be discussed by ambassadors and sherpas ahead of this week’s EUCO. As always, worth keeping in mind that terms of extension is a decision for the 27 leaders and things can change tomorrow and at the summit itself
