This is a nonsense story. Russian trolls like the "Internet Research Agency" are involved in increasing polarization of all polarizing issues. If the issue is polarizing, they've been involved in it.
2/ For example, as this article points out, the same Russian trolls are fomenting the climate debate, too. It's not about any particular topic, it's about polarization.

It's only a human rights violation if you start from the premise that prosecution of Assange is unjust. However, if they are justifiably prosecuting Assange for crimes other than journalism (like hacking), then it's the same principle as any other crimes.
We've had the system for 200 years where a Grand Jury can force people to testify. You never complained about it before as a "human rights violation", so I don't believe it's suddenly become one now that Chelsea and Julian are involved.
When the Mueller and Congress issues subpoenas forcing people to testify against Trump, I don't hear complaints about "human rights violations".

The only measure of whether Assange "deserves" something is what he's actually charged with, which is in this case conspiring to help Manning hack computers.

If you think he deserves to be jailed for "hacking" because he did something else, then you've got it wrong.
Conversely, if you think he deserves NOT to be jailed for hacking, because he's a journalist, because he's fighting the Man, then you also have it wrong.
I personally don't like this charge. It sounds like something that can entrap well-meaning cybersecurity professionals. While he may be technically guilty, I wonder if the DoJ would prosecute normal people for it if they weren't notorious like Assange.

Lessons in anti-science: don't believe he evidence, but instead, believe the priest we call "Scientists". I mean, the globe is warming, but your belief in that should be driven by heeding the evidence, not by heeding the scientists.
Another lesson in science is the difference between objective evidence and subjective opinion. That the globe is warming is objective data, such as the satellite record pictured here. Whether this "catastrophic" is a subjective value judgement.
The problem we have with vaccines, climate change, and other issues based on science isn't because THEY reject the science, it's because activists like Neil deGrasse Tyson reject the principles of science, and instead argue the issues using principles other than science.

Ran across an old #russian #Botnet used to boost the follower count on #KremlinTrolls. I don't think the bots tweeted much that was interesting and if they did they would have retweeted it, so it's long gone by now.
45,000 bots that i found so about 100k in this network.
The bots date back to 2013 when the internet research agency started their twitter botting operation.
I found them by looking at the followers of known IRA troll accounts.
@cyvuzumyxudo is an example.
this is one of the 1st IRA troll accounts.
they made thousands of these it mixes russian and english.

they tweeted about #Odessa

the "#EU The Ukrainian Interior Ministry lies"
used the hashtags:

#RussiainvadedUkraine
and
#NATOfsrjmJEMg4U
