It was interesting to watch Bernie Sanders easily sidestep Fox News anchors' efforts to trip him up -- and fascinating to see how quickly the network machinery repaired the damage. wapo.st/2KHEBfG
Since it apparently doesn't go without saying: It's good for journalists to challenge candidates and try to find weaknesses in their arguments.

The questions Sanders faced, though, largely centered on a line of reasoning that he was able to handle fairly easily.
A battery of questions about why Sanders targets the rich if he's a millionaire is not going to knock Sanders for a loop.

And if, when Sanders suggests that you ask Trump about his taxes, you invite Trump's daughter-in-law on to laughingly wave it away, that's not great either.
