"The Special Counsel confirmed Russia sponsored efforts to illegally interfere" in #Election2016 but no finding that the Trump campaign or any other Americans colluded, says Barr.
Barr says he and Rosenstein concluded @realDonaldTrump did not commit an obstruction of justice offense.
"There was in fact no collusion," says Barr, repeating words of @realDonaldTrump.
Unfettered access by @WhiteHouse and no executive privilege claims during the investigation, according to Barr.
Special counsel's report being released contain limited redactions related to four categories of information, says Barr.
Most redactions compelled by the need to protect ongoing investigations and criminal cases, according to Attorney General Barr.
"No redactions done by anybody outside this group," according to Barr.
"President confirmed...he would not assert privilege of the special counsel's report," says Barr. "No material has been redacted based on executive privilege."
Personal attorneys for @POTUS had opportunity to read the report before publication, acknowledges Barr.
Mueller made it very clear he was not saying but for the OLC opinion he would have found a crime" regarding @POTUS, replies Barr to reporter's question.
"I have no objection to Bob Mueller personally testifying" before Congress, replies Barr to reporter's question.
No basis for saying "I'm being generous to the president," replies Barr to reporter.
"These reports are not supposed to be made public," says Barr.
"Almost a complete vindication of the president of the United States," immediately comments @wolfblitzer on @CNN as Barr leaves the podium.
