Mixed reactions within Labour to @paulwaugh’s ace scoop. Delegates I’ve spoken to are furious but some MEPs are more relaxed. One said: “It was always going to be shit - the freepost always is” & that it was rushed to be on time. MEPs also report a “v good” policy meeting on Wed.
But a sceptical Labour delegate points out: “Freepost is the only guaranteed piece of literature every household receives.”
What do you know? There is some talk of Labour making very 11th hour changes to its European election leaflet in response to the fury over @paulwaugh & @REWearmouth’s story. “The final draft may not be so final,” an MEP says.
