Biden's big polling numbers, including with black women (no one is even close), tracks with what I've heard anecdotally for months: the Dem base, for now anyway, is focused on familiarity, electability, and their deep distrust of the American electorate. thehill.com/homenews/campa…

She accused him of a cover up.

One of the things that we discussed was pushback. Oftentimes the decision to #CiteBlackWomen gets pushback from professors, reviewers and colleagues. How do you deal with this pushback? What are your strategies?
So one piece of advice that came out of our conversation yesterday was mentorship. We need to create networks of support inside and outside of academic spaces-but particularly within the university-to be able to 1) teach students how to cite properly;

There’s no amount of therapy or medication that can make universities healthy places to work and study in. That can only come with a conscious decision by those controlling the purse strings to put resources toward supporting students, staff and faculty.

Black women and minority women have long know that, when pressed, a *majority* of white women will abandon any pretense of "sisterhood" and sacrifice equality for the preservation of white supremacy. I've said before that black women were the *least surprised* by Trump's election
I've heard some version of "I told you about Becky" from most black women I know. (Conversely, hyper-educated black men seemed to be most surprised: us *fools* thought Chip and Topher and Huffington were really our friends.)
There are many reasons a *majority* of white women vote the way they do, and not all of them are evil. Economic shackles, adoption of patriarchy tropes, there are books. And many, white women work tirelessly to free their sisters, and to fight the men who hold them down.

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

Why not just go speak to the Grand Jury? Clearly, it's not about avoiding spending more time talking about the investigation and your experience...
