People getting excited about this and Remain parties do urgently need to get their shit together. However, for context, worth remembering that it is not that different from results last time telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/…
This is what it looked like in 2014. Again Farage first. Fairly similar numbers.
The trouble is the Remain vote is fractured by Labour refusing to take a stand and Remain parties refusing to work together. But in terms of some new surge of Brexit support: there's no evidence of that.
Nor is there any decline in Remain vote. Chuk + LD + Greens at similar level as Brexit party, even without including SNP votes.
Remainers should take the fight to Farage now, and his creaky cupboard of stale, posh candidates. But don't think he's some kind of genius.
He's got a voting block. He hasn't enlarged it. It is where it always was. All he's doing is flexing it and hoping everyone shits themselves. So don't.
