this is just kind of long winded way of describing Republican cowardice. this isn’t rocket science folks
I.e. I’m a powerful Republican who has agreed to work for Trump, who is a mad man. but I don’t have the guts to do or say anything to stand up to him and to signal to the public he’s dangerous
Trump isn’t able to cast some magical spell over people. He just knows Republicans pick career over country every single time
