Friends, we're headed to Odisha for #CycloneFani relief work. We will be driving from Vizag up north to Bhubaneshwar/Puri. We will have 3 mobile RO drinking water plants with us, and serve communities affected by the cyclone. @tatatrusts

I will update this thread with requests/information.

As I catch up on the news, it is beginning to sink in what a brilliant job the Government of Odisha has done in evacuating people early. The damage could have been staggering. Kudos! I'm on my way to Vizag and we will leave for Odisha post noon today. #CycloneFANI

The ROs are close to Ganjam. Should reach Bhubhaneshwar by 930am. We'll set 1 up today in Bbsr and serve the affected areas here and will aim to send 2 ROs to Puri. #CycloneFani

Update #3 One RO unit will start functioning shortly and will aim to supply water to Dumduma area to start with. I am headed to Puri to scope for a location for the other 2 units. #CycloneFani

For all those who offered to volunteer: My colleagues are handling the Bhubhaneshwar water supply in the evening. I may not be able to respond on twitter. They have things under control but may need volunteers tomorrow. I will be in touch. Thank you. Very grateful. #CycloneFani

Update: Water delivers happened at Dumduma today. The situation in Puri is very bad. Scary infra loss. Tomorrow is going to be a tough day. 0 connectivity in Puri so won't be able to update till late evening. #CycloneFani

#Update: water deliveries will happen in Bbsr today. I am headed to Puri in 45 minutes for leading the water supply efforts there. I will not have phone connectivity for about 12 hours. Wish us luck! #CycloneFani

Update: tough day in puri as our generator gave away midway. We are headed back with a replacement tomorrow. Water deliveries happened in Dumduma, Bbsr. Glad we were able to help. #CycloneFani

#Update: we are headed to Puri with a back up generator. Hopefully we won't have power related issues and water supply will take off. Bbsr water deliveries will continue. Will share updates by EOD. I will be out of telephone range for the next 14-16 hours. #CycloneFani

Update: Phone connectivity seems to have been restored in Puri. This is amazing news. I'm near Talabania and we have signal here! This will make a huge difference to folks on the ground. #CycloneFani

#CycloneFani left a trail of disaster and destruction, but that didn't dampen spirits. What a privilege it was to set up RO plants that are delivering 1000s of litres of drinking water to those in need. Dekchi loads of respect for my beloved employer @tatatrusts

With my job of setting up the ROs done, I will now head back to Bombay. Incredibly tough yet fulfilling last few days. The team here will continue the work till some sense of normalcy is restored. I will now close this thread. Thank you for all your support. Fin. #CycloneFani
