if the story was retracted, we deserve a statement about why. this just looks like the city is trying to change the record and the local media is helping them do it
the city tried forcing the daily progress to retract the story that sparked the bizarre meltdown someone in city government had last week. the progress stood by their story.

it is not healthy for the city government to make any attempt to control the press. there’s no evidence the city applied pressure to WINA to remove the story, but without any statement from the station and coupled with how they treated the paper, it seems logical.
