Niger Republique in the last 50 days. Recruits from Niger, Burkina, Chad & Mali find this group more attractive.
While the criminal groups in NW Nigeria are currently independent of these terror groups, we see an alliance with the terror groups whose members are mainly of /2
the same ethnic stock in months as the heat is turned on them by the Nigerian security Ops in their strongholds in NW.
The large numbers of deaths & persecution of the Peuls in Mali have attracted seemingly laid back Peuls to radical jihad with trained militia members signing up

#BokoHaram fighters today at Moula village ambushed the 85 vehicle Convoy of the Provincial Governor of terror ravaged Borno Province NE Nigeria.

The rear tail of the convoy was attacked with PKM's, RPG7, newly purchased AK74 & AK47 on his way from political campaign in Dikwa /1
2/ while heading for border county and town of Gamboru-Ngala. About 16 vehicles, 157 persons were able to flee to nearby fire base FOB at Gajibo. Casualties yet unknown.

Provincial governor safe.
NOW: #BokoHaram now claiming they captured ten vehicles from the convoy of Borno provincial governor after Wednesdays vicious ambush.

Nigerians in currently in serious contact with #ISWAP in Rann NE Nigeria. Battle began an hour ago
The Insurgents Monday night broke the Nigerian forces defenses in a stealth & precision attack, got to the town center and IDP camp.
The Nigerian ground and air forces are currently engaging the insurgents
Monday satellite and Drone images of the battle space Rann seen by us points to very poor situational awareness of the battalion and other security services on ground.

1. #Nigeria is a civic state, with much devout religious practice, mainly Christian and Muslim. Religious loyalty should not undermine civic loyalty, but sometimes does. Eg should Muslims be concerned about the 'ummah' & Christians about fellow believers only? #NotAnotherNigerian
2. The #Nigerian state apparatus, including the legal system, is heavily influenced by Britain. The Muslim areas used to have traditional Sharia, and were part of the Sokoto Caliphate. Sharia always had many interpretations: many of these were civic in nature. #NotAnotherNigerian
