The cultural consensus in Britain that abortion poses no ethical problems whatsoever strikes me as far more barbaric - more akin to the "dark ages" - than anything @benshapiro proposes.
Basically: "Ben, you say we should be nice to each other in your book. But you said mean things seven years ago! HOW CAN YOU RECONCILE THAT?!?!?!?"
