good news of May 2019 is very few press or even influencers share Facebook’s internal blog posts spinning their latest scandals and most journalists are accurately interpreting and dismissing the NYT op-ed by Facebook’s new PR guy hired last year to try to hold off EU pressures.
I think it warrants sharing some of the reactions by industry press to Facebook’s PR chief’s NYT op-ed. All of the following people report and/or offer perspective on Facebook. Not going well. Here is @Kantrowitz @geoffreyfowler @cwarzel @readDanwrite

I’m sure in another filter bubble of people still close to Facebook, there is a strong wind of praise for it. Also @geoffreyfowler point is spot on and it concerns me many will read and not be exposed to these expert reactions or even that the author is the new PR guy.
Reminder the author , Facebook PR Chief will be on @ReliableSources with @brianstelter tomorrow. Still hoping @carolecadwalla makes a guest appearance to help grill him since she knows way more than most and happens to be in town.
