Yes, important follow-up point to my previous tweet. Those challenged know 95% won’t want watch full interview, won’t read a full report, etc. They need large platforms like TV, op-eds in legit outlets for clips, sound bites to be used in places without context. @ReliableSources

Very much related, posting this point from @mariaressa who has dealt with these issues in Philippines. Her point to @karaswisher: free press needs to be more active sharing each other’s articles/threads helps dilute disinfo and manipulation efforts.
traditional media is often isolated to big interviews on TV but still (importantly) is fragmented/plural - this is good for independent voice but the bad part is manipulation efforts can edit and work together to harness each other’s networks and algorithms. That happened here.
