Derek would be great on Fed... but also would be great to move up to deputy secretary at DOT. Has done excellent policy work there and DOT is overperforming on deregulation.
Derek Kan has two graduate degrees from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Stanford.

Served as Chief Economist for Senate Republican Policy Committee and as a policy adviser to Cocaine Mitch.

Confirmed 90-7 for his current job in 2017.
Kan supports a rules-based monetary policy and a stable dollar. And he would bring a proven record of success on regulatory reform.
And there's nothing like a well-liked former Senate staffer to calm the confirmation waters. That 90-7 confirmation vote in 2017 helps, too.

If by "disclose everything" you mean rolling out a DNA test (by a professor who had his email set to out-of-office reply that whole week) to reassert and celebrate the false claim.
Not to mention a video and embargoed stories for simultaneous release from multiple liberal media outlets -- all using a blatantly out of context quote from the president to pretend he owed her a million bucks.

What a wholly bizarre claim from Enron John Arnold to justify his opposition to the Trump administration proposal to require drug rebates to be passed on to seniors.

Patient groups and almost everybody else who has looked at this issue support the reform of requiring rebates to be passed on to seniors instead of pocketed by PBMs and insurers as they are now. And Milliman showed likely behavioral responses mean this could SAVE taxpayer $.
But Arnold says CBO = game over. Their score assuming no behavioral response is impervious. Even though CBO IS ALWAYS WRONG.

Two months ago, the Daily Caller published a pretty definitive report showing Jerome Corsi helped defraud his audience out of $25,000 to help a phony cancer patient get treatment from a nonexistent doctor. Have any authorities looked into this yet? dailycaller.com/2018/12/13/cor…
Like, it’s not a complicated case. The doctor doesn’t exist. The supposed “patient” registered the fake website for the doctor’s nonexistent clinic. Corsi claimed the imaginary doctor was a miracle worker who had treated a family member. Corsi’s listeners coughed up $25,000.
The press has basically done all the work here. All some prosecutor has to do is find the “patient” and mop up.

#Equities #SP500 was rallying and the bulls are cheering. The excuse seems to be, that Powell has blinked. Remember 2007-09? Fed started lowering rates by September 07. Yet that did not prevent Financial markets to decline hard until March 2009 #HZupdates
The thing is, that when liquidity #crunch snowball gets rolling, some announcement from #Fed will not do the job. Down the line, Fed will need to scramble (QE or the like) to fight USD shortage. My LT #SP500 model remains like this. Major Bear market ABC-structure. #HZupdates
I will not reveal my EW-count for #SP500 here. That is reserved for subscribers and buyers of Weekly Update. Only say, that we have not seen an impulse wave since Sept high. I expect a MAJOR decline to set in rather soon, taking us to my bottom of wave A from LT-chart. #HZupdates

1/ I first gained some twitter followers when I rage-tweeted about an @nytimes article. I stand by that thread, as well as my other critiques of the Times. However. . . . .
2/ I also feel badly that I don't give the Times more credit when they publish excellent journalism. I *do* believe there are some systematic issues w/ the Times right now, particularly w/ regards to a subset of the domestic politics reporting, the OP-Ed page, twittering, etc.
3/ However, they have also done excellent investigatory work (post-election) on the Trump campaign's connections w/ the Russian government. I think it's difficult to fully comprehend just how difficult this work is, given the degree to which it relies on sensitive sourcing. . . .
