In 2017, the Israeli private intel group Psy Group went after @dkaleniuk and @Shabunin, two anti-corruption fighters in the middle of the “DNC-Ukraine collusion” conspiracy theory now being pushed by Trump, Giuliani, etc. forensicnews.net/2019/05/19/psy…
The timing is fascinating. Manafort begins to tell Trump admin in 2017 to push the DNC-Ukraine collusion theory. Then, Psy Group begins their smear operation to target the Ukrainians by alleging financial misconduct.
Quoted in the story are @dkaleniuk and @Leshchenkos and others. Many more were interviewed on background, and thousands of pages of documents backed up the article.

Someone has self-immolated in DC between the Washington Monument and the White House.
Video from the scene looks bad. The man remains on fire, standing, for at least 20 seconds near the South Lawn.
Officers then run to the scene and put the fire out. The man’s condition is unknown.

The Intercept notes Sputnik was an early propagator of the general Ukraine-Dems-collusion conspiracy theory. That Russian propaganda has now evolved into a more precision disinformation campaign against Biden by Trump, Giuliani, RW media. NB Sputnik planted that idea too—in 2014.
In 2014 Russian propaganda went off-the-rails demonizing Ukraine, w/ a blizzard of fake news to justify annexing Crimea & invading Ukraine after Ukrainians rose up to oust Putin's puppet. Russia's disinformation said Ukr's democracy movement was a US coup, invoking Hunter Biden.

Burden of Proof: a practical primer. I'm getting hecka tired of Trumpsters looking to #exonerate #Trump because the #MuellerReport didn't indict him of #collusion, #conspiracy, or #campaignfinanceviolations. This isn't a binary choice, there are levels, and Trump IS NOT at 0.
Some Evidence: The lowest level, a single piece of evidence that collusion or conspiracy occurred, though it can be explained away by other means but points the way...an undisclosed meeting with Russian officials for example.
Reasonable Indications: Considering how the motivations and circumstances line up with the presented evidence though each could be explained away by other facts. Trump's long standing interest in a #TrumpTower in #Moscow and whispers of the existence of #Russian #Compromat.
