Update on @ladyinmedicine’s account: She finally received a notice today saying that she was found to be violating TOS by participating in targeted abuse. There’s no evidence attached or specific tweet cited. Let me tell you about her & tell you why Twitter’s acting like tyrants.

Followers of @ladyinmedicine know that she was born in Egypt. Her family fled to seek opportunities free of persecution for being Coptic Christians. Later they returned to find more discrimination. She was lucky to get into Canada and she’s felt privileged ever since, to be free.

Now in Canada she felt a duty to speak up for Coptic Christians who still living in oppressive places or are killed for their faith. For 10 years she used social media to tell stories the media ignores too often. People like @ladyinmedicine are their voice, not the media.

When @twitter unilaterally acts as judge, jury and executioner of voices like @ladyinmedicine without so much as one ounce of evidence, they’re taking away the voice of the voiceless. She’s an advocate for human rights & against oppression.

Her only prior run-in with Twitter was in September 2018 for saying "Suspend me for calling the Muslim Brotherhood what they are, terrorists."

What she said is a fact, MB is designated a terror organization by a number of countries. After appeal Twitter apologized & restored.

Twitter has a much larger problem too, they don’t make this process clear or transparent and it clearly has affected far more notable figures on the political right than the political left. This is not disputable at this point.

Statement from @ladyinmedicine: "I’ve never participated or engaged in harassment of anyone. It’s crazy how many times I’ve been harassed, defamed and threatened no action was taken on accounts harassing me, cyber bullying me or threatening me."

I hope @vijaya @jack read this thread & right this wrong or explain to the user WHY they were banned. This keeps happening to users who’re on the political right with no explanation while verifiable terrorist organizations roam around the platform freely without much of an issue.
