Calk famously drafted and sent a list of desired jobs to Manafort at the same time he was pushing through multimillion dollar loans for him, with Treasury Secretary at the top of the list. That seems to have been a pipe dream. But...
According to the indictment, Calk was considered seriously by the Transition for a Pentagon position. He came to Trump Tower for an interview with three transition aides. 
Peter Carr declines to comment on whether this case is one of the SCO’s referrals.
