Tons of things to analyse after these results. Especially the ones who were not seeing BJP coming back. What goes on inside their head can only be explained by confirmation bias. These folks have stopped listening to the people.
The diff between the anglicised mind and the desi mind is palpable. Most of us are still broadly desi, although most of us are anglicised in some degree. But our "intellectuals" have become too anglicised. They can't relate to their own people. They've lost touch with reality.
Their brain isn't using the same desi template that the rest of us do. When that happens they will get things wrong. They see a monster in Modi,we see just a guy in whom we see our aspirations being fulfilled. They see only negative & we see positive which outweighs the negative
They think us desis hate democracy, no we don't. We love it, we use democratic methods to make our points and try to bring change using that method. But for the anglicised fascist that is blasphemy. Democracy is good till we listen to them. But then that isn't democracy!
Democracy is about the freedom to express yourself in every 5 years through the ballot box. It is about criticising your representatives during their term. We do all of that. But the other side does not see that happening. Because they're blinded by hate and disdain for us.
I still see the anglicised intellectuals clutching on to straws even now. But this did not happen, but Modi is not making proper inroads in the deep south. Yes, as now maybe not. But keep insulting the desi & see what happens in 2024. He'll win even bigger if this is ur argument
