NOW: The much-anticipated $19.1 billion disaster relief package has been delayed yet again, this time by Republican Thomas Massie of Kentucky. Story to come for @CourthouseNews.
There will be another vote this Thursday where it is likely to fail again unless Republicans can come to an agreement among their own. This said, if it doesn't pass, it gets pushed to next week. FWIW: Hurricane season officially starts June 1.

I finally read Trump's recent speech to Navy grads and in the transcript, when he complains about the press being unfair and abusive to him, the notation followed: [Applause].
And while it wasnt the first time I thought about this, the idea renewed itself...
These are newly minted service members, who uphold an oath to protect all Americans. If they applaud at that, I wonder, do they agree that the press is, as the commander in chief calls us, "the enemy of the people"? Or is the applause empty, kneejerk? Or is it both...
Does that then mean there may be people in the audience confused as to the role of the press? Will their commander's words change how they do their duty? Will they treat war reporters/correspondents as friend or foe? Will it instill a prejudice? How does this play over time?

I cancelled my @WSJ subscription last month. I get charged for it. I think to myself, OK, they're charging me for the month I already had access. I get charged again today, call them, cancel my @WSJ subscription and ask for a refund since I already cancelled a month before.
I'm told they "can't do that."
So, they overcharged me and basically said, "Too bad, so sad."
So, I will no longer be sharing any WSJ articles and will not count myself among their readership.
Refusing to refund someone for a $40 subscription because of your own error is BS.
To put a cap on this - called the bank, they have to open an "investigation" into my claim and it could take up to two weeks to receive a refund, that's *if* the bank agrees with me.
Never. EVER. reading WSJ again. Yes, I am that petty.

The Cohen hearing has begun. Republican Rep. Mark Meadows immediately raises a point of order to complain that Cohen's testimony was not submitted 24 hours in advance. He moves to postpone the hearing.
Meadows, shouting, says Cohen submitting his testimony last night was an "intentional" move to show his "disdain" for the committee.
