It's either no deal or no Brexit. I'll give you a couple of minutes to flee the country, and then we'll compare notes.

The next thing the government puts to a vote, it's going to be hit with amendments left, right and centre. Parliament will attach a referendum to it.

So you see. The only way the government can block a referendum is if they never table anything.

So either the government - whoever it is by then - chooses a referendum, has a referendum forced upon them, or faces a vote of no confidence.
And I think English politicians and their pet journalists are just embarrassing themselves going on about "no deal" when everyone outside England knows it's never going to happen.
