I read last night about #TheTenCommandments to help us
#ManageOurPersonalFinances and found them #TooGoodNotToShare

1. Thou shall create a budget and stick to it.
2. Thou shall not spend more than what you make.
3. Thou shall make retirement saving a priority.
4. Thou shall regularly review & reduce your expenses
5. Thou shall not try to keep up with the Joneses
6. Thou shall keep an eye on Bank’s interest rates & choose the right products
7. Thou shall pay your monthly bills in time
8. Thou shall use your debit/credit cards prudently.
9. Thou shall take advantage of deals in form of sales and discounts.
10. Thou shall open a Target Savings Account and save consistently...

A father left 17 Camels as an Asset for his Three Sons

When the Father passed away, his sons whilst going thru some old papers, found his will. They called some family witnesses & opened the will.
The Will of the Father stated that the Eldest son should get Half of 17 Camels.

The Middle Son should be given 1/3rd of 17 Camels,

AND The Youngest Son should be given 1/9th of the 17 Camels.
Since it’s not possible to divide 17 into half or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, the sons started to fight with each other.

The finally decided to go to a wise man.

The wise man listened patiently about the Will .

#Nigeria is unfortunately one of the three countries in the world and only country in Africa with endemic polio.
In recent times, circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus has been isolated in a few LGAs in Lagos and this has necessitated an outbreak response.

Three rounds of the outbreak response campaign will be conducted.

Right - so I have now read last night's documentation: an 'instrument' relating to the WA; a 'joint statement' supplementing the PD; and a unilateral declaration by the UK Govt on the NI Protocol. They are all here: gov.uk/government/pub… 1/
There will be much debate about both the legal status of the documentation (given that there are no changes to the wording of the WA and PD), and about the intended meaning and effect of the words used. 2/

Saw the Mr. Rogers documentary last night, "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" and found myself deeply touched, often to the point of tears, by Fred Rogers' deep and profound commitment to the well-being of children. THREAD
He was a pastor, for those of you who don't know, and chose children as his ministry. Television as the "location," or virtual space, for that ministry. His critique of the medium also acknowledged its power and permanence, and he was outraged by the cynicism of commercial shows.
Commercial TV, he argued, viewed children not just as future consumers, but as citizens who would inhabit a profoundly violent and cruel society, and thus TV was violent and cruel -- full of punches, humiliation, degradation, and disgust.

I met Shyla last year in a meeting. Her father had dreamt of making her a doctor. But his dreams drowned in the sewer he had died in. This is her story. (ruralindiaonline.org/articles/my-mo…)
Ten years later, Shyla is almost close to realising her father’s dream. She is doing her nursing course, and she needs help. As a society that sent her father down the sewers, I think it is our responsibility to see that she becomes a nurse.
When I met her again last month, Shyla was exuding confidence. “I will soon be a nurse and if you need anything, call me over” she told me and i cant wait.
Shyla’s course fee for third year comes close to Rs 1 lakh. I already have someone pledging Rs 10,000.
