The man was originally facing 60 years. Prosecutors dropped the top count. So mandatory minimum dropped to 4 years. Judge imposed least he could. Two notes:

1.Prosecutors should have dismissed the case in the interest of justice
2. Mandatory minimum sentences must be abolished
