Citgo gets grand jury subpoena for Venezuelan corruption probe by DOJ Southern District of Texas.

Not a location where the Swamp would prefer to go on trial!

Citgo claims it has flipped, replaced it's board & to be actively cooperating & helping the DOJ in it's efforts to find corruption within the corporation!
Which means they knew how busted they were & are trying to throw the guilty under the bus to survive!
There has already been 17 guilty pleas in the Citgo case, so they had little choice! In addition to the new board, they brought in an outside legal firm to investigate the corruption & they have 20 separate internal investigations running to then pass off to the FBI/DOJ.
Should we trust the new board? Well would you believe that Trump recognizing the opposition government in Venezuela allowed them to fire Maduro/Chavez's board & replace them with one that wants to get Venezuela's looted cash back to the country!
This has allowed the DOJ to weaponize Citgo's American HQ in Houston against the socialist regime in Venezuela & their backers in Russia & China!
One of Citgo's former VP's also has a whistleblower lawsuit pending that can use civil court discovery rules to find evidence that will strengthen the DOJ case!
The Venezuelan Kleptocrats are probably very upset that buying condos from a Trump run FBI honey trap served as a means of opening some of these investigations!
My followers won't be surprised that this case & others being run by SD Texas include appearances by Glencore, the company built by friend of Bill Clinton & the Russian oligarchs: Marc Rich.
Nor will the be surprised that those prosecutors are not just looking at Venezuela but Nigeria, Brazil, & many other countries with corrupt oil & energy deals!

The courts ordered the 700 million Euro in assets of 2 broker firms & 5 banks seized in February. The banks are now cooperating against their executives, so they have flipped & agreed to hand over the #receipts!
The banks were selling diamonds to their customers at inflated valuations & getting kickbacks from the diamond dealers.

Apparently Joyce Vance can't read, or didn't bother too. As AG Barr said, the argument was "fatally flawed" Mueller's team tried to make a unique argument of applying the elements of one crime to a separate crime where they don't apply. All but one federal obstruction law require
an active proceeding for the President to obstruct. There was no proceeding so he could not possibly obstruct it. Like writing a ticket for running a stop sign when there was no stop sign. The one statute that covers obstruction for future proceedings, requires that the defendant
destroy evidence that could be used by a future proceeding. None of the 10 alleged instances involved the destruction of evidence, let alone did any of those instances involve the intent to keep it from a future proceeding.

Trump reportedly turned down a $2B deal with his partners in Dubai U.A.E. shortly after the election! As always, Trump is the bait, he never takes it!
The U.A.E. was also the nation whose intelligence services were hiring former NSA officers to work as cybermercenaries for their hacking & spying efforts. A deal set up by former Clinton NSA staffer Richard Clarke!

This case is still under seal on PACER, but we can get a good guess as to when it was filed. Case 18-cr-456, immediately preceding the Huawei case, was filed on August 21, 2018
Here's another factoid for you. Remember the Mystery Case re a grand jury subpoena to a foreign state-owned corp? That was originally filed on August 16, 2018- about a week before the Huawei indictment. Is it possible the Mystery Case is related to Huawei? politico.com/magazine/story…
