And the overflow room at the #NXIVMtrial was the most crowded I have ever seen, even compared with the first day. Lots of reporters, and former members as well...
Even some who showed up at 730 a.m. could not get in to the main courtroom today🤯

2/ Sound in the crowded overflow room of the #NXIVMtrial was initially quite poor😕
Moira Penza had just started when I arrived at 930- she began reviewing for the jury what they had seen..
Reminded them first of Dani, imprisoned for the 700th day in a row, in misery...

3/ Reminded them of the sexually explicit pics they had seen of 15 year old Camilla (before her appendectomy scar would appear at age 16)

4/ "You saw the 100s of Thousands of $$ in cash, retireved from Nancy Salzmans home" ... "You heard the defendants own voice, directing" the crimes he is charged with.

5/ "My job is to help you put all the evidence together to find the defendant guilty beyond any doubt" for the crimes...
Charges are:
Racketeering
Racketeering Conspiracy,
Wire Fraud,
Forced Labor
Sex trafficking
Sex trafficking Conspiracy
And Attempted Sex Trafficking...

6/ She described the defendant and his "Inner Circle" as the Criminal "Enterprise"- of which he was the leader.
Why?
"Because they gained from it- its as old as time itself- Sex, Money Power"

7/ Lauren Salzman testified to her $100k salary, 2 homes, 🌍travel... But she always lived in fear of losing everything - fear of being ostracized, losing her career, her relationships, especially to Keith- fear of losing the opportunity (always dangled) of having his baby.

8/ #KeithRaniere was the "Crime Boss" she said.. His Inner Circle made it all possible- Dani's confinement, DOS slavery, Illegal surveillance of the community...

He ordered it all... They were guilty too, but they didnt know everything that was going on... #compartmentalization

9/ Most of the morning up until lunchtime was laid out as a review...

1) to show the jury how the crimes fit the pages of charges in front of them-
(For example, need to be able to check 2 or more racketeering charges to show pattern has been proven, etc)...

10/ Aaaand ...
2) Reminding everyone of how disgusting and manipulative #KeithRaniere was- dangling false promises of education, or babies..(their desires used against them)-
Grooming Dani, Cami, Gaslighting all of them as a method of control... everything under threat of loss.

11/Penza detailed, for example the hardship Dani was forced to endure-
Forced labor, threat of serious harm...
705 days in a room, isolated and under surveillance, until on the verge of suicide-- assigned to read 250 page books and write 10k words by midnight every 7 days.. Etc.

12/ There were so many reporters in the courtroom today (FINALLY), no one is going to have any trouble getting all the days events with a #NXIVM Google search-
I felt I had enough review of all that came out during the weeks of testimony.
I didnt stay, the score is already 10-0!

13/ Next, after defense arguments, the jury will be read ~140 pages of charges /instructions by the judge!! (Poor jury!) They should only need 5 minutes or less to deliberate😂.
Hope to have #NXIVM verdict for #KeithRaniere by end of week, Godwilling.

14/ Meanwhile, I will be continuing to DIG into the larger #NXIVM connections. There are so many!!
