In light of #MH17 accusations today, I'd like to remind you of a forgotten - but very relevant - story from the Bosnian War. (THREAD)
On September 3, 1992, an Italian G-222 turboprop plane, supplying humanitarian aid to Sarajevo, was shot down between Kiseljak and Konjic. This was territory controlled by Bosnian Croats, and there were local media reports of militia boasting they did it.
But because this did not fit the Narrative, the incident was blamed on Bosnian Serb aircraft, and the UN passed Resolution 781, creating a no-fly zone over Bosnia.
NATO was charged with monitoring this no-fly zone, and later with enforcing it. This will provide the back door for the alliance to get openly involved in the conflict in 1994 and 1995.
Bear in mind that the strategy of one of the factions involved in the war was to get outside powers to militarily intervene on its side.
With all that in mind, think about the means, motive and opportunity of ALL the parties involved in the #Donbass conflict in June 2014, as MH17 was being re-routed over the war zone by Ukrainian ATC.
Keep in mind that one faction happily set dozens of peaceful protesters on fire in Odessa the month prior, and eagerly used tanks, bombers and artillery against "separatist scum" (their own citizens!) in an effort to crush them.
Why would they flinch at another 300 innocents, especially since the war was not going well and they needed more international support for their side? /END
