Tragically Omar was badly let down when clinics in the camp said they couldn't do anything to help him. This seems to be typical of treatment for the #Rohingya for anything out of the ordinary that would require specialist treatment. #HelpOmarFaisal

This is Omar Faisal with his dad who has never stopped fighting for him. For 6 years they tried to get him treatment for a condition that could have been easily treated as a baby. If left untreated he will go blind. #HelpOmarFaisal

We tried to fundraise privately and get Omar Faisal treated without any fuss, but when he caught pneumonia and the operation scheduled had to be cancelled we realised we would have to take his story public to raise more funds. But also his is a story that deserves to be told...

This little guy deserves a medal for his bravery. Age just 4 when he was fleeing gunshots from #Myanmar military, because he was slowing his family down as he can't walk, he told his father to leave him behind so that they would not all be caught and killed. #HelpOmarFaisal

Omar Faisal with his mum. It is painful to think about how she must have suffered to see her son go without treatment despite their best efforts to get him help. No child, no parent, should have to suffer like that. Turned away by medics. Hard to understand. #HelpOmarFaisal

Like many boys his age, Omar Faisal loves chocolate, crisps and shooting baddies! He's getting a reputation for being a cheeky little chappie and the hospital staff all fell in love with him, as have we. #HelpOmarFaisal

Please #HelpOmarFaisal if you are able, every donation helps. Costs increased due to extra stay in hospital to treat pneumonia, op had to be cancelled, surgical team had to cancel trip, but we must go the extra mile to help him. Leaving him to go blind is not an option...
