My phone has been off for 24 hours - good to see the wheels already coming of Boris Johnson’s campaign, though I fear that like Trump his partisan base will support him nonetheless
Sadly I don’t think honesty or even propriety is that high on most people’s lists when they vote. I think many people see Johnson as a larger than life character who will use his force of personality for the good of the country.
Something literary tragedy got right is that often people’s character flaws become their destiny.
