This story could have better honored the memories of the Scandinavian women beheaded in Morocco. Tragically, one of the women’s childhood friends was also killed in an Islamic attack in Morocco. Instead the lead of story is about how the right-wing pounced washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
Interestingly, one of the reasons the Islamic State didn’t promote the beheading video is because the women weren’t modest enough even as they were being killed. They faulted the killers for not covering the women.
In April I wrote a profile on a Danish-Iranian woman who is facing charges for sharing the beheading video. She says she did it to force Danes to confront the brutality of radical Islam. For that, she’s being investigated by state & smeared as Islamophobic quillette.com/2019/04/22/den…
